The Nikon P1000 has the longest zoom lens ever. Truely, this is amazing. It can take photos and videos up to 4K 30fps. It has an auto focus system which is pretty good but it is not so effective at long zooms, so in this case for video it is best to use manual focus. Videoing is best done using manual focus in almost all cases, so it is not such a strange thing to use manual focus.

At first, I though it was a mistake to buy it, but my wife encouraged me to be a little more patient. As I used it and learned its peculiarities, I began to like it and now I really love using it. It has some points I think could be much better, but it can do everything. I heard that it is not good in low light, which is partly true but for most people it is more than enough. I have a Canon 8000D which is better in low light but I don’t often need it.
